About The Event

Canstruction is more than a design and engineering competition; it’s a movement that brings together the creativity of architects, engineers, students, and volunteers to build giant structures entirely out of canned goods. Once the event concludes, all the food used in these creations is donated to the London Food Bank, helping to support individuals and families in our community who need it most.

Canstruction London 2025 celebrates incredible talent, dedication, and generosity, all in support of the London Food Bank’s mission to eliminate hunger in our community.

By coming together for Canstruction, we showcase the power of innovation and collaboration in addressing critical needs, proving that when creativity meets compassion, we can make a real impact.

1.2M+ Pounds of Food

In 2023, Canstruction events worldwide raised over $169,500 and donated more than 1,231,500 pounds of food. Here in London Ontario, participating teams built incredible structures from ‘Around the World’ using over 4,000 cans in each of their large-scale creations, which took the teams many days to plan and a full day to build. After the competition has taken place, all of the cans are donated to local food banks for distribution to families in need. We look forward to supporting the London Food Bank this year with Canstruction 2025.
